How do I stop my collie from attacking anything with a motor?
I have a two year old female collie that goes crazy when anything with a motor is started up. The leaf blower, roto tiller and also tries to attack cars jumping and biting at whats making the noise. She does not seem to mind the vacuum cleaner but goes in another room when I am using it but she doesn't attack it. She actually jumps and bites at whomever is using the equipment. How do I stop this behavior?
Try chaining her up when you are outside, and let her get use to this. She will bark, and try to get loose, and may take awhile for her to be tied up. You may also put her in a fenced kennel and let her run around in it then, while you are outside, this way you will know she is safe. When you are vacuuming, let her go outside in the kennel, or put her in the bathroom with the door shut, so you can get your work done.

New gadget/equipment in South African motor vehicles - Scary Stuff?
Today, when I was driving between Pretoria and Randburg, I noticed it again. I always suspected something, but now I know. The minute I use my directional indicator (flikker) to change lanes, the cars behind me in the lane I want to enter, accelerate rapidly. My indicater MUST therefore be linked via radio or other signal to the other vehicles around me. BMW and Merc's engines are the worst affected.
I'm sure it is illegal, Who should I contact to report this. Maybe I should take out my indicator completely. Please Help !

The BMW Driver's Story:
The other day I was cruising along as usual coming onto one of my highways, which was very busy with inferior cars.
First off, I couldn't believe that the volume of traffic didn't slow down for me at all as I came off the slip road! I had to squeeze into a barely big enough gap between two cars in order to get onto my highway (the driver of the car behind me did realize his mistake though and hooted in apology to me)!
Unbelievably, I had to do the same again before I could get to the BMW lane(why do underlings use this lane? Surely everyone knows it is for BMW drivers?).
Anyway, once I was in the BMW lane and cruising along at 176 km/h enjoying the adulation that the inferior car drivers were giving me, I noticed an inferior car ahead of me which was not only in the BMW lane of my highway,but was driving at a ridiculous 120 km/h. With German precision, I got to within a few centimeters of his rear bumper and flashed my headlights to remind him he shouldn't be in the BMW lane and so he could get back to one of his inferior car lanes.
Of course, once he realized it was a BMW behind him, he did just that, but I could hardly believe it when he pulled straight back out behind me! He also tried to keep up with me and when he realized I would out-run him, he put on some blue lights in his front grill and urged me to get onto the
hard shoulder so that he could congratulate me on my excellent car.
Needless to say, I was eager to oblige and when we had stopped, the man gave me a piece of paper confirming what I already knew - that my car goes very fast!
Apparently he wants everyone to know what a superior car I have, so I had to go to court and show them. The man also said if I carried on like this they would take my drivers licence away! Can you imagine: I'm so special I don't need a drivers license!
See, now that's the sort of respect you get when you buy and drive a BMW!
